Marco Thomas is a Professor of Clarinet and Chamber Music at the University of the Arts Bremen since 2000. He previously held positions as Principal Clarinetist of the Berliner Philharmonischen Orchester (until 1999) and co-founded the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. As a soloist and chamber musician, he collaborates with renowned orchestras and festivals globally, including the Lucerne Festival Orchestra under Claudio Abbado. He leads the Norddeutschen Klarinettentage and founded the ensemble 'Clarinet News.'
