Marc Embler is the Dean of the College of Adult and Professional Studies and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Charleston Southern University, where he has served for over 10 years in academic and administrative roles. He earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) and holds additional degrees: a BS in Psychology, a Master of Social Work (MSW), and a Master of Criminal Justice (MCJ).
Research & Professional Background: Dr. Embler has extensive experience in education, law enforcement, teaching, and strategic planning. His academic career at Charleston Southern University (CSU) includes teaching psychology, sociology, and student success courses, as well as undergraduate and graduate criminal justice courses. Prior to his current role, he served as the chair of the Criminal Justice Department, Title IX coordinator, and taught virtual courses for federal entities.
