Amy Albrecht

Dr. Amy Albrecht is a Professor of Biochemistry at Charleston Southern University (CSU), where she has been affiliated since 2009. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from the University of North Dakota and a BA in Chemistry. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a high school science teacher for 1.5 years and a chemist at the North Dakota Department of Health for four years.

• Research Focus: Prostate cancer, breast cancer alternative treatments, and the intersection of spirituality and health among CSU students.
• Memberships: Executive Board member of the South Carolina Women in Higher Education.
