Dr. Mana Azarm is Assistant Professor of Analytics and Information Systems at the University of San Francisco. Her expertise spans data modeling, scalable data pipelines, and LLM applications in data engineering. She holds a PhD in Electronic Business from the University of Ottawa (2020) and MS degrees in Systems Science (Ottawa) and Information Technology Management (Alzahra University).
Her research focuses on developing frameworks for healthcare data interoperability, patient-centric record sharing, and industrial AI ontologies. She has published on health data platforms in Health Policy and Technology and presented at IEEE/ACM conferences.
Before academia, she held senior roles at DoorDash, co-founded ModuleUp, and consulted for the Bank of Canada, City of Ottawa, and Ontario Health. She taught Data Engineering at UC Berkeley and product development at the University of Ottawa.
