Doug Sarro

Doug Sarro is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, specializing in corporate law, securities regulation, and the intersection of innovation, law, and politics. He holds a JD (Gold Medal) from Osgoode Hall Law School and an SJD from the University of Toronto, with additional qualifications as a CFA charterholder and a member of the bars of New York and Ontario.

His research examines regulatory frameworks for financial markets and corporate governance, with recent publications in leading journals including the McGill Law Journal and Capital Markets Law Journal. Doug actively engages with industry through his role as Academic Director of the uOttawa Startup Law Clinic and as a member of CFA Societies Canada’s Advocacy Council.
