Darlene Himick is a Full Professor and Vice-Dean, Faculty Affairs at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. She holds an L.L.B. from York University (Osgoode Hall Law School), an MBA from Dalhousie University, a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Calgary, and is a CFA Charterholder. Her roles include Senior Research Fellow with the Shareholder Association for Research and Education (SHARE) in Vancouver.
Her research focuses on pension accounting, responsible investing, and the use of experts in accounting standard-setting. Key areas include pension fund governance, qualitative research methodologies, and sociological theories of accounting.
