Lyman L. Dukes

Lyman L. Dukes is a Professor at the University of South Florida (USF), where he also serves as the Doctoral Program Coordinator for the Exceptional Student Education program within the College of Education. He holds a PhD from the University of Connecticut and has over three decades of experience in education, spanning academic and administrative roles.

Research Focus: His work centers on improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities, particularly during their transition from K-12 to postsecondary education. Key areas include

• Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education
• Postsecondary access and success for disabled students
• Research guidelines for disability-inclusive education
• Standards for higher education disability services

Honors: Dr. Dukes has received multiple accolades, including the Ronald E.
