Luca Girello

Luca Girello is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of Lugano, affiliated with the University of Italian Switzerland. He currently serves as director of the liturgical office of the Diocese of Vigevano (2013-), teacher of Patristics and History of Theology at the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy (2014-), and parish priest of four Christian communities (2016-).

• Doctorate in Theology (Pontifical Lateran University, ongoing since 2015)

His research focuses on Patristic exegesis, liturgical theology, and sacred language, with particular emphasis on sacramental rites and ecclesiastical ministry. Recent publications demonstrate expertise in:

• Patristic foundations of liturgical language
• Ministry of the reader in Christian tradition

His work bridges historical theology and contemporary ecclesiastical practice, informed by his dual role as academic and spiritual director.
