Lot Demeyer serves as Lecturer in Baroque Oboe and Director of the Baroque Wind Band at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music since 2014. An acclaimed performer, she collaborates with ensembles including LA Opera, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and Bach Collegium San Diego across major festivals in the US, Belgium, and Brazil.
Her educational foundation comprises a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance from the University of Southern California and a Master's/Music Education Degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
Demeyer specializes in historical wind performance practice, with research centered on Baroque oboe, Renaissance shawm, and the recovery of 20th-century Belgian composers' works. Her current initiatives bridge European and American oboe traditions and explore Baroque oboe construction techniques.
