Adam Knight Gilbert is Professor, Director of the Early Music department, and Chair of the Musicology program at the University of Southern California. A premier performer of Renaissance wind instruments (recorder, historical double reeds, shawm), he is a founding member of ensemble Ciaramella and has performed globally with groups like Piffaro, Waverly Consort, and the Folger Consort.
