Lo Sun Perry

Lo Sun Perry is an Instructor in Asian Studies at the University of Puget Sound. She teaches all levels of Chinese language courses and serves as faculty supervisor for the Puget Sound Summer Taiwan Program at Tunghai University. Perry advocates for language immersion through study abroad, internships, and volunteer opportunities, while also co-authoring the textbook Taiwan Today: An Intermediate Course (Cheng & Tsui) and participating in AP Chinese reading and content development.

• Education: BA (Tunghai University, 1984), MA (University of Washington, 1986)

Her research focuses on Chinese language pedagogy, cultural reconciliation, and experiential learning. Perry actively integrates community engagement into her work, volunteering for the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation in Tacoma and serving as a board director.
