Lisa Rundstrom is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah, GA, since 2017. Previously, she served as Gallery Director of the WSU Shift Space Gallery and faculty at Wichita State University (WSU), where she held roles from 2004 to 2017. She holds an M.F.A. in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.F.A. in Art (Sculpture) from Wichita State University.
Her research interests span sculpture, art education, public art installations, and performance art. She has curated exhibitions, led public art projects, and engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations, emphasizing material studies and community-focused art.
Notable awards include the Kansas Arts Commission Grant (2011), a Mellon Foundation-funded award (2010), and the Virginia Commonwealth University Graduate Teaching Award (2001–2002). Her work explores themes of urban spaces, environmental sustainability, and social critique through sculpture, installations, and performance art.
Rundstrom has contributed to over 15 exhibitions and projects since 2009, including the Wichita Advanced Learning Library Public Art Commission (2015–2018) and the GLEAM Light Media Exhibition (2017). She has also advised and taught students in foundation studies, 3D/2D design, and drawing across multiple universities.
