Lisa Matrundola

Lisa Matrundola is a part-time Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2023. She holds an M.F.A. in Painting from SCAD and a B.F.A. in Art/Graphic Design from the University of Georgia. Her professional roles include teaching at the Spruill Center for the Arts (2021–23), ownership of Couture Cakes Inc. (2001–17), and various design and illustration positions.

Her artistic practice spans painting, sculpture, and graphic design, with a focus on contemporary themes and mythological reinterpretations. Notable exhibitions include Infections of Mythology (2023), Beautiful Creatures – M.F.A. Thesis Exhibition (2021), and multiple juried shows with the Atlanta Artists Center. She has received awards such as the Chelko Foundation Scholarship (2020) and recognition in Artfields and Food Network’s Cake Wars.

Lisa actively engages in arts administration, serving as a Board Member for MINT (Atlanta, GA) and leading the Racial Reconciliation Group at Buckhead Church. Her work integrates technical skill with conceptual exploration, reflecting her commitment to education and community impact.
