Lisa Hopkins

Lisa Hopkins is an Instructor of Accounting at Weber State University's Goddard School of Business & Economics, where she has taught since 2013. Specializing in financial accounting education, she brings extensive industry experience from public companies, private corporations, and public accounting firms.

• Education: MS in Accounting (Weber State University, 2007), BA in Economics (University of California, Irvine), and Not-for-Profit Certificate I from AICPA.

Research & Teaching Focus: Financial accounting education, CPA training, and taxation. Her work bridges academic instruction with professional accounting practice through certifications and industry engagement.

Service & Leadership: Chair of CPA Education Advisory Committee (2022-present), UACPA Leadership Council Member (2015-present), and Faculty Advisor for Beta Alpha Psi Theta Tau Chapter (2014-2019). She coordinated VITA Tax Filing programs and served on the Trails Foundation board (2019-2022).
