Debra M. Cosgrove

Debra M. Cosgrove is a Teaching Professor at the School of Accountancy, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she joined as a full-time lecturer in 2001 and was promoted to Professor of Practice. She teaches Accounting Information Systems and Managerial Accounting, and serves as faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi since 2004.

Research Focus

Her expertise spans Accounting Information Systems, Internal Control Frameworks (COSO), and Managerial Accounting. She develops teaching cases, reviews academic publications, and presents at conferences for the American Accounting Association.

She holds leadership roles in the Accounting Information Systems Educator Association and memberships in AICPA/Nebraska CPAs. Prior to academia, she worked at Arthur Andersen and as a corporate finance executive.
