Lisa Bateman

Lisa Bateman is an Adjunct Professor in the Fine Arts Department at Pratt Institute's School of Art. She works in public art and social practice, focusing on site-specific projects with marginalized communities to explore unwritten histories, audio-visual archives, and vernacular architecture.

Her curatorial work includes collaborations with PS1 MoMA, Pratt Area Community Council, and LocationOne New York. Bateman has received grants from institutions such as the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NY Foundation for the Arts, and McDowell Colony. She teaches BFA/MFA courses like FA-629 Installation Theory and Practice and DRWG-301 Drawing Installation.
