Dr. Linyuan Sun is a Research Fellow at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) within the Faculty of Science at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from Nanjing University, China, and is affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the 21st Century Weather.
His research focuses on climate dynamics, particularly the teleconnection mechanisms of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events and their impact on extratropical climate systems. He investigates multiscale processes driven by tropical sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies influencing Australian weather patterns through observational analysis and climate modeling.
