Lingwei Li is a Lecturer in the Research School of Accounting at the Australian National University (ANU), where she has been affiliated since January 2017. Her research focuses on corporate governance, financial and non-financial reporting, corporate finance, auditing, and the role of information intermediaries. She holds a doctoral degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Her research interests include proxy voting, mergers and acquisitions, board behavior, corporate innovation, and the impact of workforce education on innovation. She has published in journals such as the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and Australian Journal of Management.
Lingwei received the Best Paper Award in Applied Corporate Finance at the 2016 Midwest Finance Association Annual Meeting. Her work explores topics such as M&A performance, corporate cash holdings, audit effort under litigation risk, and the link between workforce education and innovation. She is actively involved in research supervision and has contributed to studies on firm performance and governance structures.
