Ling Yu (Elena) Meng is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California (USC) Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She specializes in pediatric occupational therapy, curriculum development, and global health initiatives, particularly through USC Chan's China Initiative collaboration with Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). Her roles include teaching in the pediatric practice immersion course of the OTD program and supporting educational partnerships in China. She is concurrently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Dr. Meng holds board certification in pediatrics (BCP) from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and has extensive international clinical experience, including training at institutions in Japan, Canada, and the U.S. Her clinical expertise spans pediatric clinic-based care, in-home early intervention, and telehealth services. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and French, her work emphasizes cross-cultural healthcare and population health.
She contributes to research projects such as the NSF-funded initiative “Detecting and mapping stress patterns across space and time,” focusing on multimodal modeling of occupational stress in work environments. This project, led by Shawn C. Roll, integrates bio-behavioral and environmental data to inform stress management strategies.
