Lilli Williams

Lilli Williams serves as a Researcher at the Institute for School Pedagogy and School Improvement Research within the Department of Education and Psychology at Free University of Berlin since July 2015.

Her educational background includes:

• Diplom in Psychology from Free University Berlin, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and University of Bristol (2009-2014)
• Diplom in Psychology from University of Saarland (2006-2009)

Williams specializes in Educational Psychology and School Improvement, investigating evidence-based governance in educational systems, video-based teacher development, and school effectiveness in socially segregated environments. Her work bridges psychological research with practical educational interventions to enhance teaching quality and institutional outcomes.

She actively contributes to major research initiatives including Evidence-Based Governance in the German Educational System (SteBis), K2teach (video-based learning facilities), and FEED-UB (lesson observation and feedback by principals). Previously, she participated in the KODEK project during a 2011 internship.

As part of the School Pedagogy and School Improvement Research team, Williams collaborates on contrastive case studies of school effectiveness and develops feedback interventions for educational leadership, focusing on translating research into actionable school improvement strategies.
