Leon Wardelmann

Leon Wardelmann is a Research Assistant and Doctoral Candidate at the Chair of Civil Law, German and European Competition Law at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf since October 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Law and Economics (LL.B.) from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn (2024) and studied law there from 2018 to 2024 with a focus on corporate and capital market law.

His research spans Innovation and Competition Law, Arms Markets Regulation, and Data Law, with a focus on intersections between antitrust frameworks, GDPR compliance, and EU regulatory policies. Recent work explores the definition of 'undertaking' under antitrust law and the Data Act's impact on digital access rights.
