Larry J. Valentine

Larry J. Valentine is a Professor of Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), specializing in computer graphics, 3D modeling, and digital art. He has held leadership roles such as Chair of the Undergraduate Studies College Council and Computer Art Department, and currently serves as Head of 3D Animation at SCAD.

• Education: M.F.A. in Ceramics from State University of New York at New Paltz; B.A. in Biology/Chemistry and Studio Art from Elmira College.

Hailing from both scientific and artistic backgrounds, his research bridges biological/chemical concepts with studio art practices, focusing on innovative applications in animation and digital media.

• Scientific Awards: Multiple fellowships for computer animation and software grants from Alias Research, ElectroGIG USA, and Autodesk Inc., alongside distinguished invitations to SIGGRAPH, DreamWorks Interactive, and Sony Pictures/Imageworks.

His professional engagements include consultancy roles at Ferrari Club of America and Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, emphasizing production expertise in animation and computer art.
