LAU Kwan Ho

LAU Kwan Ho is an Assistant Professor of Law at Singapore Management University (SMU), affiliated with the Yong Pung How School of Law. He holds an LL.M. from New York University and an LL.B. (First Class Honours) from NUS. His academic roles include Deputy Director of the Centre for Commercial Law in Asia (2021–2024) and Senate Member of SMU. He is also a Visiting Professor at multiple institutions globally, including National Taiwan University and Sun Yat-sen University.

His research focuses on contract law, private law, judicial decision-making, and the legal profession. Notable publications include analyses on contractual accessions, novation, and comparative legal systems. He has received awards such as the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship (2021–2023) and Postgraduate Teaching Award (2024).

LAU has contributed to grants like the “Southeast Asia-Taiwan Sustainable Trade Law and Relations” project and has presented internationally on topics such as AI and contract law evolution. His teaching spans courses like Contract Law and Commercial Law in Asia.
