Kyle C. Norris

Kyle C. Norris serves as an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre, bringing extensive professional experience as a composer, conductor, and instrumentalist to academia. His career spans Broadway, Las Vegas productions, and nationwide educational theatre initiatives.

He earned Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Theatre from the University of Alabama and a Master’s in Film Scoring from Berklee Online. His pedagogical approach integrates real-world performance expertise with structured music education.

Norris specializes in Musical Theatre and Film Scoring, leveraging diverse musical styles to communicate character-driven narratives. His compositions have been performed across the United States and featured on NPR, reflecting his commitment to storytelling through music. Current creative projects include a new musical in development and multiple film scores scheduled for 2024 release.

As an educator, he has mentored award-winning performers including Tony winner Adrienne Warren (Tina!) and Hamilton original cast member Emmy Raver-Lampman. His teaching collaborations span institutions such as NYU, University of Nevada Las Vegas, The University of Alabama, and the Governor’s School for the Performing Arts.

Norris maintains active performance credits including Broadway productions (School of Rock, Rocky, Pippin) and Las Vegas shows (Spamalot, Mamma Mia), with conducting experience on national tours of If/Then and West Side Story.
