Dr. Kumar Raghav is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland's School of Dentistry, affiliated with the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. He holds dual appointments with Queensland Health and maintains clinical practice emphasizing Paediatric, Preventive, and Behavioural Dentistry. With over 20 years' clinical experience, he advocates holistic and minimal invasive dentistry to ensure patient comfort and optimal outcomes.
Dr. Raghav's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Dentistry (2002) and Master's in Paediatric Dentistry (2006), followed by a PhD in Social and Behavioural Dentistry from ACTA School of Dentistry, Amsterdam (ranked #2 globally by QS). He received the Australian Endeavour Executive Fellowship (2018) and pioneered research on Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) for dental anxiety/phobia treatment.
