Dr. Ketty Gottardo is the Martin Halusa Senior Curator of Drawings at The Courtauld Institute of Art. She holds a Laurea in Art History from the University of Udine (1998), an MA (2004), and a PhD (2012) from The Courtauld, focusing on Baroque prints and drawings. Her career includes roles at the Louvre Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Christie’s, and The J. Paul Getty Museum.
Her research interests center on Baroque art, printmaking, and drawings, with a focus on 16th–17th century European art. She has curated exhibitions such as Parmigianino and the Art of Experiment (2022) and Fuseli and the Modern Woman (2022). Current projects include cataloguing Flemish drawings and planning exhibitions on Henri Michaux and Louise Bourgeois.
Key contributions include revising the transcription of Gauguin’s Avant et Après manuscript (2020), now publicly accessible. Her work bridges historical and modern art, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to curatorial practice.
