Kerry Mills serves as Assistant Professor of Art History and Chair of the Art Department at Mary Baldwin University, while also advising MBU Online programs.
Education:
- BS, BFA, MA from Virginia Commonwealth University
Research Focus: Specializing in American Art and Modernism, Mills conducts foundational research on Barnett Newman (thesis: 'Reconsidering Barret Newman') and Davi Det Hompson's Fluxus connections. Her work incorporates primary interviews with Clement Greenberg, Irving Sandler, Helen Frankenthaler and other key figures, examining intersections between Mail Art practices and avant-garde movements.
