Trey Pollard is an Adjunct Professor of Jazz Guitar in the Department of Music at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), part of the VCUarts School of the Arts. Based in Richmond, VA, he works across genres such as jazz, indie rock, and contemporary classical music as a guitarist, composer, and arranger.

In 2022, he composed the trumpet concerto The More They Stay The Same, premiered by the Richmond Symphony under VCU professor Daniel Myssyk.
