Kent F Spreckelmeyer

Kent F. Spreckelmeyer is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Kansas, School of Architecture & Design. His career spans over four decades, focusing on the intersection of human well-being and the built environment. He directs the Health & Wellness internship program and has contributed to developing the professional Master of Architecture and PhD programs.

His research emphasizes healthcare environments, post-occupancy evaluations (POE), and architectural programming. Notable leadership roles include shaping the School’s academic programs and teaching abroad in Florence and Paris. He received the 2009 W.T. Kemper Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching, recognizing his impactful instruction in studios and seminars.
