Ying Hua

Dr. Ying Hua serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Centered Design at Cornell University's College of Human Ecology, leveraging her interdisciplinary background in architecture, building science, and behavioral science to advance research on human-environment interactions.

Her research focuses on:

• Sustainable building design strategies for environmental performance and occupant health
• Workplace strategy to optimize collaboration, organizational outcomes, and change management
• Future learning environments in higher education hybrid settings
• Empirical post-occupancy evaluation (POE) methodologies
• Stakeholder engagement for climate resilience in building practices

Dr. Hua actively contributes to teaching, advising, and public engagement initiatives including Cornell's Parenting Project, integrating evidence-based approaches to improve built environments for human well-being.
