Kelly M. Nims

Kelly M. Nims is a Lecturer in the Department of English and affiliated faculty in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at Hunter College's School of Arts and Sciences. She combines anthropological training with literary scholarship to explore global black identities and cultural narratives.

Dr. Nims' publications reflect her interdisciplinary approach to African diaspora studies and critical race theory. She is currently developing two monographs: one on Zora Neale Hurston's Afrofuturistic perspectives and another analyzing miscegenation through American literature and political anthropology.
