Keith Schaefer

Keith Schaefer is Associate Teaching Professor of Spanish and Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Notre Dame's Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. He holds a Ph.D. in Romance Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research examines intersections of religious and secular thought in Spanish narrative, with specialization in Miguel de Unamuno's works.

Teaching experience spans all levels of Spanish language instruction, including specialized courses on Spanish for Business, Health Professionals, and 20th-21st century Spanish cultural studies. As Director of Undergraduate Studies, he oversees curriculum development and academic advising within the department.
