Kate Whittenbury is a Tutor in Psychology and Doctoral Researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University. She teaches across multiple programmes including MSc Psychological Wellbeing in Practice, BSc Psychology, and BSc Forensic Psychology, while supervising Master's research projects in forensic psychology.
Her doctoral research investigates protective and risk factors for intrusions following indirect trauma exposure (IET), employing mixed methods across three studies. Research interests include trauma psychology, occupational wellbeing for helping professionals, and resilience in high-stress environments.
