Kate Duncan is an Associate Professor and Conrad Hilton Endowed Chair in Music Industry Studies at Loyola University New Orleans, where she serves as Director of the School of Music & Theatre Professions. Her career spans over a decade in diverse musical genres including jazz, funk, pop, opera, and country, with roles as a performing musician, vocal jazz arranger, lecturer, and clinician nationally.

Her academic leadership includes co-directing Loyola's Paris Study Abroad program and designing curricula for Popular & Commercial Music and Urban & Electronic Music degree programs. She directs vocal jazz ensembles Crescent Collective (SATB) and Quarter Tones (SSA Acapella), teaches private voice, and leads courses in professional development, internships, and artist wellness. Duncan actively mentors students through Full-Tilt Marketing and advocates for gender equality via initiatives like the Not Your Mother's Lecture Series, Girls Jazz Day, and Women in Music.
