Carol Rausch is a Lecturer at the School of Music & Theatre Professions, Vocal (Classical) department, at Loyola University New Orleans. She has been with the College of Music faculty since 1996 and serves as chorus master, music coordinator, and education director for the New Orleans Opera Association, as well as chorus master and music administrator for the Chautauqua Opera's summer festival season in New York.

Rausch specializes in opera workshop instruction, choral conducting, and music education. Her career spans roles with the Virginia Opera, Greater Miami Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Opera/Columbus, and collaborations with institutions like NOCCA/Riverfront. She has musically prepared and conducted multiple Loyola Opera Theater productions, including The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni.
Rausch received the 1998 Tribute to the Classical Arts Creative Achievement in Opera Award for choral direction of Verdi's Il Trovatore and the 2000 Arts Education Award for the New Orleans Opera's educational outreach in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. She remains active as a vocal coach, recital accompanist, and music director for the "Classical Cabaret" recital series.
