Julie Thompson

Julie Thompson is an Assistant Professor of English at Burman University, located in Alberta. She holds multiple degrees including a BEd from Atlantic Baptist University (2006), BA English (hons) from Atlantic Baptist University (2005), BMus Performance and BA Music from Burman University (2013, 2017), and an MA in Women and Gender Studies - Literature from Saint Mary's University (2011). Her research integrates English literature, theory, and performance, with a focus on Shakespearean studies, YA dystopian fiction, psychoanalytic theory, and trauma theory. She is currently exploring virtual reality as an educational tool.

Her areas of expertise include feminist pedagogy, theatre performance, and interdisciplinary approaches to early modern literature. Her work bridges traditional literary analysis with modern technological applications in education.
