Dr. Juliana Rangel is Professor of Apiculture in Texas A&M University's Department of Entomology. She directs research on honey bee biology with focus areas including queen and drone reproductive health, nutritional ecology, Varroa mite management, and population genetics of feral honey bees. Her program has secured over $1.9M in funding and addresses critical challenges in pollinator health through laboratory and field studies. Rangel teaches Honey Bee Biology, Beekeeping, and Professional Grant Writing, and coaches TAMU's Entomology Games teams.

Her research examines impacts of pesticides, nutrition, and parasites on colony health, with recent innovations in non-invasive disease screening and Varroa management.
