Joslyn Mills is an Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Bridgewater State University, joining the faculty in 2023. She teaches General Biology I, Anatomy & Physiology, Genetics, and Biology of Aging while maintaining an active research program focused on aging mechanisms.

Dr. Mills' research centers on proteostasis in aging processes and cell-specific lipid droplets' contributions to healthspan and lifespan. Her lab projects focus on defining lipid droplets' role in aging and developing disease interventions through lipid droplet modulation. She integrates research into classroom instruction through Course-based Research Experiences using C. elegans as a model organism.
Her expertise spans Biology of Aging, Cell Biology, Molecular Physiology, Genetics, and Vertebrate Anatomy & Physiology, with active contributions to undergraduate research education at BSU.
