Joseph Daun is a Professor of Art in the Department of Art, College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts at East Texas A&M University, where he has been employed since 2008. Prior to this, he held academic positions at the University of Central Oklahoma, Georgetown College, and Alfred University.

His pieces are held in university and private collections, such as the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Central Oklahoma.
