Jordan Gauthier

Dr. Jordan Gauthier serves as Associate Professor at both Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Clinical Research Division) and University of Washington, with additional appointments as Affiliate Investigator in Translational Science and Therapeutics Division and Attending Physician. He is a core member of the Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center (IIRC) and Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center (TDS IRC).

Dr. Gauthier pioneers cellular immunotherapies for blood cancers, specializing in CAR T-cell therapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. His dual-clinician-scientist role bridges patient care with computational innovation, developing machine learning models to predict therapy outcomes and toxicities. Recent work focuses on automated grading of immune effector cell-associated hematotoxicity and predictive modeling for cytokine release syndrome.

As principal investigator for 14 active clinical trials, he leads studies on long-term follow-up of gene-modified cell therapies, prophylactic interventions for CAR T-cell toxicities, and real-world data analysis of immune effector cell therapies. His research integrates clinical hematology with data science through the Translational Data Science IRC, creating web-based tools for outcome prediction.

He maintains active clinical practice as hematologist-oncologist specializing in bone marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy for leukemia/lymphoma patients, with recent Science Spotlight features covering CAR T-cell product comparisons (May 2025) and toxicity mitigation strategies (Jan 2022).
