Jonathan Papp

Jonathan Papp is a distinguished Research Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music, renowned for his expertise as a coach and accompanist. He has collaborated with celebrated artists such as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Ian Bostridge, and Sergei Leiferkus, performing in iconic venues like London’s Wigmore Hall and Sydney Opera House. His career spans international masterclasses and artistic leadership through co-founding the Georg Solti Accademia in Italy, where he serves as Artistic Director.

• Education: Trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, winning prizes in piano accompaniment, solo playing, and chamber music. Undertook postgraduate studies with Bruno Canino in Milan and Geoffrey Parsons in London.

Jonathan’s research interests center on collaborative piano performance, chamber music dynamics, and vocal coaching methodologies. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary artistic development and performance practice.

His honors include awards for piano accompaniment, solo playing, and chamber music from the Royal Academy of Music. He has held staff roles at the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme, Royal Opera House, Walton Foundation, and Tosti Institute, fostering emerging artists globally.
