Jonathan Gingerich is an Associate Professor of Law at Rutgers University’s Newark campus and holds an Associate Graduate Faculty appointment in Philosophy. He leads the European Research Council-funded 'The Spontaneity of Freedom' (SPONT) project (2024–2029) based at University College London. His research spans ethics, law, and technology, with a focus on spontaneous freedom and Simone de Beauvoir’s moral philosophy.
