Professor Jonas Bylund, a trombonist at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media since 1995, studied at Stockholm Academy of Music (graduated 1987). He has held principal trombone positions in the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Stockholm, and Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. His international performance career includes solo engagements with Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, and Czech Philharmonic Brno.

- Jury member at Geneva (1998), Prague Spring (2004), and ARD (2007) competitions
- Masterclasses across Europe (London, Barcelona, Athens, Berlin, etc.)
As an educator, his students have won prestigious awards and hold positions in major orchestras worldwide. He maintains dual roles as performer and pedagogue, collaborating with contemporary composers like Anders Hillborg and Piers Hellawell.
