Jonah Rowen

Jonah Rowen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, Cooper Union. His research focuses on architectural technics, construction, economics, environments, materials, and labor within 19th-century Anglo-Caribbean colonial contexts. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Planning and Preservation and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.

His scholarship analyzes architectural drawings and archival records (business documents, correspondence) to study risk management in colonial-era building projects. Publications include essays in Grey Room, Log, and Pidgin, and he co-founded Project: A Journal for Architecture.
