John M Jr Watkins

John M Jr (Jay) Watkins serves as Assistant Professor in the School of Music at the University of Florida, holding roles as Associate Director of Bands, Director of Athletic Bands, and Director of The Gator Marching Band. He previously served at The University of Texas at Austin and Charleston Southern University, where he directed ensembles and earned academic accolades. With a background in both music and scientific research, Watkins has published over 75 articles on liquid fuel propellants during his tenure at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
