John Lovseth

Dr. John Lovseth is an Associate Professor of Biology and Natural Resources at Principia College, where he also serves as Director of Land Stewardship. He manages the college's 2,600-acre campus, including administering one of Illinois' first Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests.

His scholarly interests include sustainable forestry, disturbance ecology, historical ecology, forest ecology, geographic information systems, and sugarbush management. Lovseth is a certified forester with the Society of American Foresters.
