Joe Walsh

Dr Joe Walsh is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE), affiliated with the Health and Social Sciences department and the Psychological Sciences Research Group (PSRG). He holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Health Psychology from the University of Hull and the University of Bath.

His research focuses on pain communication via nonverbal channels, pain’s impact on attention, and cognitive influences on pain experiences, including ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response).

Teaching expertise includes research methods and design, with additional knowledge in Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Cognitive Psychology.
