Joe Conway

Joe Conway is a Lecturer in the Film and Media Department at Emory University, where he has taught introductory and advanced screenwriting and television writing courses for five years. His professional background includes over 25 years as a screenwriter with three produced films recognized at international festivals. Conway holds an MA (1989) and BA (1987) in English/Creative Writing from the University of Texas at Austin.

His research focuses on narrative structures in film and television, exploring themes of human conflict and regional storytelling. Recent creative work emphasizes psychological drama and Southern Gothic elements.

Awards include the 40th Anniversary Award at the 2014 Deauville Film Festival for After The Fall. He is currently developing a TV drama, Fallout, optioned by Herrick Entertainment.
