Elyce Strong Mann is a Lecturer in Screenwriting affiliated with Emory University. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, a Master's in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California, and a BA in English from Spelman College. Her professional career spans three decades in news, online media, scripted television, and independent film.
Notable works include her award-winning directorial debut Amber & Andre, which she also wrote, and contributions to the ABC Family series Lincoln Heights. She has produced multiple short films and currently serves as an in-house producer for an independent production company, developing projects for film and television. Additionally, she writes short stories, essays, and is adapting a novel into a screenplay.
Mann revitalized Spelman College’s literary journal Aunt Chloe: A Journal of Artful Candor by transitioning it to an online format and served as its co-advisor for five years. She remains a contributing editor to the journal. Her interdisciplinary work bridges creative writing, media production, and academic mentorship.
