Jessica Wild

Jessica Wild serves as a co-investigator on the University of Westminster project "Decolonising Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Higher Education: Innovations in Theory, Policy and Practice" led by Dr. Adrija Dey. She is affiliated with the Centre for the Study of Democracy and Centre for Law Gender Race and Sexuality, contributing feminist, activist scholarship to gender-based violence research.

Her research focuses on radically reconceptualizing gender-based violence prevention through feminist, intersectional, and trans-inclusive frameworks. Key areas include:

• Troubling normative responses that disproportionately burden victim-survivors
• Examining men's roles in anti-violence work within social care systems
• Analyzing welfare reform impacts on domestic abuse survivors
• Critiquing "resilience" discourse under neoliberal austerity

Wild supervises doctoral researcher Liatu Damishi Omoyiola on intimate partner violence in Nigeria. Prior to returning to academia in 2015, she managed frontline domestic abuse and homelessness services in London.
